Google Shopper - Android App and Game Tips and Tricks

Many people use their computers to shop online and like the fact that it's easy to do and you can just have the items you buy shipped right to your house. Now that smartphones are getting to be more like computers that fit in your pocket, why not shop from those as well? Or at least get a discount from somewhere that you will be shopping in person.
Google Shopper is an app that you can use on your Android device to help you find products and special offers from online and local retailers. This can come in handy if you are out of town and would like to save a few bucks by finding deals in the area that you are in at the time. Think of it as being similar to having a local paper with coupons that you can use to save money on food and entertainment but on your phone and tablet.
There are several ways you can use Google Shopper to search for products and special offers. The app uses your GPS to find your location to get you the best results for local searches. All your options are laid out on the main screen making it a fairly easy app to use.

From the main screen you have the option to type in or say what you are looking for to have the app do an online search for you. If you are somewhere that has the item you are looking for then you can scan that item or its barcode to have Google Shopper look for better prices online for that particular product. You can also get more details and specifications for the product you scanned by tapping on Details on the bottom of the screen.

There is also a listing of the featured items on the main screen for that particular day but most people won't find this section too useful. On the bottom of the screen you will notice other options such as Today's Offer, Nearby Offers and My Offers as well as your current location. You can use these options to search for specials in your area. The Nearby Offers feature will most likely be the most useful part of the app since it will give you deals on local products and services where you are actually located. If you see an offer you like tap on Save and the button will turn into Redeem. Then you would tap on Redeem when you are ready to take advantage of the offer. After that all you need to do is show your screen to someone at the business that has the offer to get your discount.

Tapping on Redeem will show you exactly what the discount offer includes making it easy to decide if its something you would like to use or not.

On the top right of the Nearby Offers screen you will notice a map placement icon. Tapping on this will open up a Google map of your current location and show you what other deals are around your location so you can get a visual idea of where these businesses are. You can tap on the location on the map to get more information about the offers.
