Mercury Messenger - Android App and Game Tips and Tricks

People have been using instant messaging programs on their computers for years and there are many to choose from such as Yahoo! Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. They all do pretty much the same thing such as allow text conversations, sharing files as well as video chatting. Now that people are always on their smartphones texting away it makes sense that you should be able to instant message as well and now you can.
Mercury Messenger for Android is an instant messenger app for MSN or Microsoft\Windows Live Messenger users. There is a free version with advertisements or a pay for version with no ads for around $6. Mercury Messenger offers many features including file transfers, voice clips, offline messaging, group chat, and support for chatting with Yahoo clients.
Once you download and install the app you will setup your account by signing in with your username and password from your Windows Live Messenger account. If you don’t have an account then you can go to the Windows Live website and create a Hotmail account to use with your messenger on your Android and computer.
Once you sign into your account you will see your Messenger contacts and be able to tell who is online or offline by the color of the dot by their name. To send a person a message, simply tap on their name to start your conversation. You can also do things such as send pictures and voice clips from your phone via the application. Other features include the ability to send nudges and add other contacts to your conversation.

You can configure your Windows Live Messenger settings right from Mercury Messenger. If you press your menu key right from the main screen and then tap on MSN actions you will have options such as adding accounts, changing your status, changing your display picture, display name or personal message. Mercury Messenger is available from the Android Market.
