Scrabble for Android - Android App and Game Tips and Tricks

Most people who have a computer, smartphone or tablet have played a game at some point. It's impossible to resist with so many of them out there and especially since many of them are free. Android devices allow you to download apps and games and install them on your phone or tablet just like you would on a computer.
Scrabble for Android by Electronic Arts is a take on the classic Scrabble wordplay board game that has been around for years. The point of the game is to build words on top of other words on the board and score points for more complex words using higher scoring letters. What spaces you place your word on the board will also affect your points.
Scrabble for Android has various modes of game play to choose from and best of all its free. You will have to close out some ads between turns but it's not a big deal unless you accidently click on the ad itself and it opens your browser to the site of that ad.
The game offers cross platform pay which allows you to play other people on other Android devices, iPhones, iPods, as well as Facebook. You can play multiple games at the same time up to 50 games at once. There is also a chat option allowing you to taunt your opponent during the game.
There are 3 modes to choose from when starting a new game. You can play a random online opponent which will start a game with someone else looking for someone to play with. You will then go back and forth with your turns and get notified when it's your turn. Then there is the play with friends option where you can play your friends but you will have to sign up and make an account to use this mode of game play. Finally there is Pass N Play which lets you have a 2 player game on the same phone or tablet and you would simply hand the device over to the other person when it's their turn.

Features of the game include options to use what is called a Best Word which will play the best word for you based on your tiles. You only get 4 of these to use throughout the game so use them wisely. The shuffle option will shuffle the tiles around to help you see better word making possibilities. Exchange will let you trade in letters for a new set but by doing this you don't score any points for that turn. The pass option lets you pass on that turn if you can't think of any words to use out of your tiles. There is also a built in dictionary as well to help you spell check your words before using them.
