Motorola Droid Razr - Android Hardware Tips and Tricks

The new Motorola Droid Razr for Verizon Wireless is the thinnest 4G LTE smartphone available at the moment. It offers 4G LTE speeds which they claim are up to 10x faster than current 3G speeds. The Razr offers some nice hardware such as a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB of RAM which makes it a fairly fast smartphone.

Another nice feature of the Razr is its 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Advanced display which supposedly offers a higher resolution than the current Super AMOLED Plus display. Motorola also offers protection for the Razr in the form of a Kevlar fiber outer shell and a Corning Gorilla Glass screen to prevent against scratches. On the inside they coat the electronics with water repellant nanoparticles in case you get the phone wet. Note its water repellant, not waterproof so don't take it in the pool with you.

For the Razr's cameras it comes with an 8MP rear facing camera featuring multi shot mode that allows for 6 shots one right after the other. It also offers full 1080p HD video with different audio settings such as stereo, wind reduction, concert and so on. The front facing camera also offers HD video allowing you to chat in high resolution over the 3G, 4G or wireless networks.

One nice preinstalled app is the MotoCast application from Motorola lets you stream your pictures, documents and music from your computer at home or the office to your phone. It will also work with your iTunes library. As for security, the Razr comes with government grade encryption that protects your email, contacts and calendar information.
