Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Tablet - Android Hardware Tips and Tricks

In the ever growing battle for tablet supremacy, Samsung has come out with a mid size tablet hoping to gain a chuck of the tablet market share. Most tablets in the past have been either a 7 inch or a 10 inch model but Samsung is going in-between with an 8.9 inch model called the Galaxy Tab 8.9.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has many of the features you would expect from a tablet such as built in Wi-Fi, 1080p HD video playback capability and front and rear cameras. Samsung has had great success with their Galaxy S2 smartphone and are hoping to do the same with their tablets.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 runs on Android 3.1 Honeycomb rather than the new Ice Cream Sandwich which future tables will be running. The tablet also comes with TouchWiz which allows you to quickly drag and drop your icons, widgets and Live Panels with a simple touch of the finger. You also get access to Media Hub which lets you rent or buy movies and TV shows. If you want, you can watch these movies and TV shows on your home TV by using the HDMI video out adapter (not included).
There is a 16GB and 32GB internal memory card option as well. It's also very light for a tablet at 447 grams or 15.8 oz. The built in DNLA (Digital Living Network Alliance) capabilities let you stream your music, movies and pictures to other DNLA devices like smartphones, computers and TVs.
